What does the 150, 300,...900 # in ASME code for pipes represent. does the number signify any thing?
or the 150 is just a number?

It ıs the pressure temperature rating of pipes.
For example 150#means that up to 120 deg celcius the desing pressure of the pipe is 20 bar. You can learn more from asme b31.3 or 31,4 or 31,1
It represents the Flange pressure rating,which in today's interpretation is considered just as the pressure rating of he pipe.
