SS cladding

Dear friends, pls help me by providing supporting materials on SS cladding. I want to know the process, selection and procedure of applying the cladding in refinery equipment like heat exchanger, reforming reactor etc. I saw some information regarding this issue in ASM SPECIALTY HANDBOOK STAINLESS STEEL. If anybody has this book pls give the link. Thanks in advance.

Dear Sumon:
All process & procedures will depend on base material, weld metal quality requirements, and acceptance testing.
It could be obtained a very good quality 1 layer 347 ss cladding (SAW process) 4 - 5 mm thick with 60 x 0,5 mm strip filler metal.
To reach that, you should (yourself or by others) to carry out a few welding procedure qualification test coupons, following by a simulated post wled heat tratment if needed by the base material.
After all these steps you can take speciments and test them, to approve the procedure.
I recommend you to contact with a welding company like ESAB or BÖHLER. They could give you some support and guide to get the results you are looking for.

Thanks for your reply. But I want to know why this cladding is used for, the selection of thickness to provide, the selection of SS grade material, the procedure of applying it, the procedure of repairing it etc.
