    Advanced Eclipse Simulation Help

    Dear All
    Salaam

    Hope Enjoying your life.

I want to know, while running the Eclipse simulator, how it is possible
to have all grid-block pressure and saturation in a separate text file?
I am sure you know that, with RPTSOL key, you can provide these variables at output with ".RPT" format. But this file is too busy and I can not extract required data from it, easily.
I am asking, is there any other choice for me to have all grid-block pressure and saturation in a text file, all in a column? Is there any trick to do it with Eclipse keys?

    Regards

Look at the program EXTRACT in the ecl directory

    Dear Rufus

Thank a lot for your immediate reply.
I read some part of the manual included in EXTRACT (a PDF file with 42 page) section.
    But (!)
But , I could not get what should i do !
if I should apply the provided keys in my DATA file, how to do that? I mean it is not saying that after applying keywords "for example x" in DATA, what will it generate?
    i got confused here: confused:
Is it possible for more hint and help or another approach.

    Regards

  6. You can use keywords starting with "b" like: BSATand so on. Check the reference manual for more details of these set of keywords.
    Good Luck ^_^

Try Amarile RE studio. It has this function.

  9. You can read these fields directly from restart files as it were written on appropriate timesteps. The file format (*.X???) is strightforward and described well enough in Eclipse documentation. If you like I can share a piece of code in C++ that will do the job for you.

    Re: Advanced Eclipse Simulation Help

    Hi,
I am a student at the university and I am currently doing my research in the enhanced oil recovery using carbon dioxide as an injection medium. I am using Schlumberger Eclipse reservoir simulation software for this purpose. I followed the tutorial number 1 exactly and got all the plots on the oil production, water injection/production and gas injection but I am want to know if I am using miscible CO2 injection, as I am not sure which gas injection I am considering, can anyone tell me how can I run the model as a miscible CO2, or what changes I have to do in the case definition section of the data manager module.
Furthermore, the tutorial already runs with one gas injection well, 08 oil production wells and 10 water injection wells. How can I change the position of the wells, as the position of the wells on the reservoir is fixed? I think I can change the position of the water injection and oil production wells in the Schedule section, in the well specification data already inputted by the tutorial, but I am not sure, which values should I consider. I want to change the position of the wells, and run different scenarios of CO2 injection so as to get the maximum amount of oil production profile curve within a prescribed simulation time by changing the position of wells.
