    Question formulas for gas measurement

    Hi everyone,

Lately i was asked to calculate the gas flow through an orifice meter(flange tapped orifice meter).I exactly applied the method described in API MPM 14.3.3 to calculate the Volume flow rate through flange tapped orifice meter.when i checked the method used by my company, i was surprised 'caus they use formulas (in API) for pipr tap orifice metering and they only changed the values of the factors (tables). I asked an engineer he told me that this method is from a book:standard handbook of petroleum.

our results(my method and the one they use) are different.
Could you tell me what method are you using in your company and which method you think we would rather to use?

PS: We are using flange tap orifice meter
