Post Effect of GSM Mobile Phones to DCS.

Hi! I just want to gather informations regarding the effects of GSM signal to the DCS. Just recently our operations personnel was issued an emergency GSM mobile phone to be used to contact on-call personnels during night time. Ever since there have been so many erratic alarms and unwanted tripping of equipments. I need any document or international standards so that i will have some supporting documents when I issue an SOS for that GMS phone.

    Thanks a lot!

which DCS is being used in your plant?

Now a days Honeywell and Yokogawa Systems are certified for RFI to certain signal levels.

Our DCS is Honeywell TDC3000 with an August Trigard ESD. Erratic alarms and sudden motor trips have been encountered. The GSM phone is placed just in top of a US console. I have researched some incidents where similar erratic alarms was encountered in airplanes and hospital equipment but i can't finds any similar incidents in an industrial control equipment.

Thanks for your interest in my topic. I hope to receive replies soon.
