i have got a multilayered reservoir say sand unit A,B & C. Upon analysis of log feature it appears A, B & C sand unit are hydro-dynamically connected , between A&B unit somewhere Oil shale contact and somw where oil-coal-contact is observed while below sand C all features are observed at flank of the reservoir Oil water contact is seen, OSC & OCC. Further at places it is observed sand unit A&B are merging , B&C are merging & A&C merging.
Present recovery is 38% of OIIP, few years back Water injection was initiated as per simulation study recommendation, however present performance analysis reveal water breakthrough in most of the producers warranting a need for discontinuation of water injection.
conclusion of analysis are as follows
before start of water injection , W/C in most of the producers were in the range of 75%
current is about 90%
before start of wi reservoir pressure was just at or little below bubble pressure, where as at present it is just above bubble point and a jack up of about 8-10 Ksc is observed
some of the injector were at updip of the structure which result in complete flodding of few producers
now i need to submit a report on this issue, since i do not have any simulator i need to do the entire study through classical approach
so if some one has do any review study on water flood through diagonostic plot and other classical approach and post the material it will be helpful for me and onthers
seondly if some has any any idea to establish communication between reservoir by studying static, flowing gradient and pressure
