Question Gas Detection in Sour Gas Well

Hi Guys I have an interesting question: If you have an onshore sour gas well with 10-13% H2S do you need flammable gas detection as by the time the threshold is reached you will have shutdown due to the toxic gas trip

    Wow...that's a lot of H2S.

I would say yes considering that the LFL of H2S is 4% by volume. The UFL is 45.5% by volume.

Sounds like you might be in Kazakhstan.
    Regards,
