Simple.
Well testing covers both the production testing (when you flow a well thru the surface system of choke/ separator etc) and reservoir data acquisition (when you run gauges in the hole to conduct transient and deliverability/ productivity tests). Traditionally, the term means that well is completed with casing + tubing
Wireline formation testing covers drill stem tests and the petrophysical data we acquire by running sondes on the line
