Thread: batch distillation hysys 3.2

  1. batch distillation hysys 3.2

    dear all
I have to simulate a batch distillation HYSYS 3.2. I found an online tutorial University of Florida but doesn't work. I added two valves on the output stream (D anb B; controllers FIC-100 and FIC-101 control these valves) but does not work the same. I'm working on my thesis and I am very disheartened !!!!!!!!!!
can someone help me ??????....thanks a lot in advance!!!!!!
    p.s. sorry for my english

I guess, you are trying to simulate a non steady case

I think, a batch system is part of a non steady case because you should manipulate the valve at an determinated time.

    OK

  6. Meanwhile, thanks for your comments ... dragma you're right ... it should fill the condenser and then empty it later ... my problem is that the results of the simulator is absurd ... in the top stage there is a temperature of 300 ° C and in reboiler -60 ° C. ..i will try also the steady-case !!!!!!!!!!!
    thank you very much
    p.s. sorry for my english

It is easy just add component splitter before the distillation column to separate light gases like h2
