Thread: Pipenet or FluidFlow

  1. Pipenet or FluidFlow

    Hello,

does anybody here have any experience with these programs?

We have to make a choice for one of them but aren't really sure what to choose. We'd use it mainly for Oil&Gas refinery projects, pump sizing, hydraulic analyses, pressure drops etc...

    I would appreciate any advice!

    Thanks!

I have used Pipenet ( steady state ) for firewater network sizing , including spray nozzle /sprinkler on Tanks with pumps condition as given . Pipenet ( transient model ) is also very useful as transient analysis for surge due to valve closure.

If you do not have these requirements , For other applications you may see fluid flow which can be also be used for pump sizing, hydraulic analyses, pressure drops.
