Thread: Diesel containers

  1. Question Diesel containers

Empty diesel drums when welded explodes and cause serious accidents. The residue iside the drum causes expansion and subsequent pressurisation of the drum.
Is there aby possibility to prevent this in drum storage and subsequent use.

  3. I think that can be controlled by applying different administrative control measures e.g. performing JHA, training of concerned staff on subjected fuel flammability properties, installing safety warning boards, permit to work system etc.
