Volumetric OIP Calculations

Hello everybody, i have a question about calculating oip whether using "net pay map" or "gross rock volume" method, which is more accurate and should the results from these method be different ?

Hey, you should use the net pay thickness for those calculations. This does not mean you cant use gross volumes, it means you would need a NTG map to use along the gross volume. If you used the net pay map, then you would not require a NTG map because its already accounted for.
