Finite Element Analysis for the Thin Pressure Vessels

HAY?
When we design a pressure vessel as per ASME SEC-VIII Div, 1 , there may be any requirement of FEA of different components of Pressure vessel???When???In what cases??Generaly when FEA OF Vessels required?Please elaborate me and help me inthis regard.

I dont understand the question.

You dont need FEA, you can do the calculations by hand or some other software.

If there is a component on your pressure vessel that can't be designed using the standard ASME VIII rules then FEA can be used for designing this more complex part. ASME VIII Div 2 describes the required FEA procedure.
