HI kareem.....actually the the target of the workover is to repair the fault occur in the completion string and this done by take out the old completion or repair the fault woithout retrieve the completion out to surface such as leak or bad desin ,,,,,,,etc

Any thing need repair from time to time ,So the well after it start producing the trouble start happened and this needs repair.there are different reason for w/o:
1-formation itself
2-completion design (pumps,string,....etc)
3-re-completion

Workover can be done by:
1-Rig (Major repair)
2-without Rig by tubing string or run in hole with special tools logging(Minor repair) Rig less.
