Ring type or full face gasket?? what to choose?

Hi,

I need to connect the pump discharge nozzle (flat faced) to mating flange (raised face). Can anybody please suggest what type of gasket needs to be used for this application. Ring type or full face gasket??

In this case, the pump flange must never be modified. Usually the RF flange is converted to FF, removing the raised face in the workshop before welding it to the pipe

its better to use expansion joint than you can order for matting pump flange faces (FF) and the other side use raise face
