Material balance

I'm a new engineer, and I need your help.
Can you explain me about how to calculate material balance[/COLOR], and give some information about it.

Based on your question, my impression is that you are not a chemical engineer. (correct me if I'm wrong).
You can read a book on heat and material balance for a start. It is one of a toughest subject during my school day.

Try: Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes by Felder & Rousseau. It's a solid starting point for material balances. I don't know if there's a link on this forum for that book.
