Leak detection gas lines

anyone have experience with systems utilized to detect leaks and locate them?
is any standard regarding this issue?

No direct experience (apart from traditional line surveying), but suggest having a start by googling "optic leak detection".

I have experiences to use Leak Detection for gas pipeline by using pressure transmitters to detect rate of change for pressure in psi (or bar)/ minute and then command to shutdown the HOV valve at that particular location. But can use the field instrument i.e. pressure transmitters or flow transmitters like ultrasanic and along the whole pipeline and analyse by cpmplicated software to lacate the leak location to alarm or shutdown the HOV valves.

I have experience in this field, i generally use multi pro rae to detect the leakage and shut down the system automatically.

We can use gas detector, multi gas detector, reactive chemical soaked paper giving colour change, if combatable apply soap solutions in the joints, threads if there is any leak gives bubbles.
