    I'm not sure why there is always double post. Anyway, I'm going to overwrite it with my thoughts being a modeler/simulation engineer

    To be a modeler/simulation engineer, one better has more than good fundamentals, a proven track record of successful projects and good reputation among his/her peers. Most the time, the model/simulation is not sold on technical merits alone, office politics and people skills plus a touch of salesmanship get the project on to next level.
