How to reduce water cut of a self flowing oil well?

I have a situation wherein all wells i'm handling has increased % of water cut. Can someone share some material for better understanding on this aspect & how to control it?

    Regards

    Hi,

First you must find out details about reservoir formation. I mean is it naturally fracture. Check openhole neutron logs. What was at start OWC (how much above was your last perf)? What is current OWC (expected/approx, how much above now)? Also from initial core analysis find out estimated vertical permeability. From well test analysis reservoir boundary and reservoir properties.

Now these are steps which I propose,
    1) Perform production logging survey for finding water entry point
    2) Check CBL/VDL log. For isolation in case of setting plug
    3) Service companies have some good gel chemicals for WSO job but you need to perform evaluation with respect to your rock, fluid, conditions

But the option which i prefer is, if you can handle water then let it flow. Just put cost on surface handling facilities.
I will look for the material and share with you in case i found any.

    Regards
