Orifice Plate Installed Backwards

Does anyone have a method to calculate the error introduced by installing an orifice plate backwards for liquid flow?

Various published studies give errors on the low side over a range of -8 to -25%. But I make no claim of having compiled a comprehensive bibliography on the topic.
