Fluid Characterization

Correct fluid characterization is essential to fluid flow simulations. The PVTsim package from Calsep is adapted as a standard for use within the OLGA Software Suite. The PVTsim package provides leading edge capabilities for fluid flow and flow assurance.

The PVT simulation package PVTsim is being used by leading oil producing and operating companies throughout the world - and is used by most OLGA users.

PVTsim Windows licenses for use with OLGA is offered by SPT Group.

Based on extensive data material collected over a period of more than 20 years, PVTsim carries the information from experimental PVT studies into simulation software in a consistent manner and without losing valuable information on the way.

PVTsim allows reservoir engineers, flow assurance specialists and process engineers to combine reliable fluid characterization procedures with robust and efficient regression algorithms to match fluid properties and experimental data. The fluid parameters may be exported to produce high quality input data for reservoir, pipeline and process simulators. PVTsim is petroleum phase behavior at the tip of your fingers.



OLGAS
OLGAS is the steady-state flow correlation based on OLGA - the industry standard for dynamic multiphase flow.
OLGAS is a mechanistic point model that calculates pressure gradients, liquid hold-up and flow pattern at a specific section of pipe/tubing.
OLGAS is available in both the 2- and 3-phase options.
Being a reference model with superior predictive capabilities, OLGAS is the natural default flow model in all steady state applications.

The OLGAS program is a steady-state multiphase model for the calculation of pressure drop, local phase volume fractions and related information at a single point in a pipeline. The OLGAS point model is available as a FLEXlm protected dll, which may be dynamically linked to a steady-state pipeline/well flow simulator.

The OLGAS dll has three main interfaces defined:
2 phase interface
3 phase interface
3 phase interface with effective oil and water phase viscosity, including water/oil dispersion effects.

how to install the license please

You should take advantage of the utility lmtools.exe:

1) Configuration using Services

2) Config services (-another name then olga5!!!like lga5lic) ;name like: pvtsim16lic)
-Path to the lmgrd.exe file (in the same folder there should be a file cllmd.exe!!!!!)
-Path to the license file
-Path to the ldebug log file

3) Save Service

4) Start/Stop/Reread ---> Start

5) PVTsim16.exe
