Dear All,

I am designing element of basket strainer. It is consist of perforated plate.
I want to simplify the work by using formula as described on ASME Section VIII division 1.

So how to decide allowable stress for perforated plate?

And how to calc stress/get thickness due to external pressure on the cylindrical shape of perforated plate.
