Is anyone aware of any rules that limit the maximum temperature at which clean, treated, produced water can be discharged off an FPSO or other offshore facility? I know that temperatures above 60C can lead to operational problems with Calcium Carbonate formation. I want to know if there are additional regulatory limits imposed by various countries or organizations. I can't find any IMO/MARPOL rules on this topic.
