Use of relative permeability hysteresis

In what condition should I use relative permeability hysteresis curve in my simulation model and what way?

As discussed by Kossack (SPE 63147) "hysteresis models were developed for the cases when the initial fluid saturation is not an end point value (i.e. it doesn't start at the connate saturation) or when a phase saturation increases and then decreases, or vise versa", this is the case for WAG processes. Refer to the paper for more deatails.
