Injectivity test is mainly done to check the max allowable pressure you can apply from surface to not fracture the formation when you perform the cement squeeze later on. You will need a packer or simply a annular BOP in close position to do this. Most of the time, injectivity rate will be measure in barrel per minutes using the cement unit and with a known mud weight, you can determine the EMW with surface pressure observed at the pressure gauge on the cement unit.
The end product should be the max squeezing rate in bpm and taking that into account, the EMW must not exceed the LOT.
