Thread: what is meaning of REGULAR for tubing

  1. what is meaning of REGULAR for tubing

    if i need to request X-Over with BOX-BOX and i dont need the thread to be femal in the body of joint but pin with Box how can i descripe it to be clear? i saw some connection box in the body of pipe directly but other box means pin thread with coupling.
    for expample if i need 4 1/2 box vam top to 3 1/2 vam top how can i descpripe the specification?
    you help guys pls.

    Every thread has its own specifications..........it depends on which thread you need......for example....if you need VAM top or BTC....you can not get an integral joint (threads cut into the joint).....it has to be a coupling made up on pin..............but if you need hydril ph6 or hydril 513......you will get integral joint.
