What is the fundamental difference between free gas and liberated gas?
the liberated gas is the amount of lightest components that are liberated when the pressure reservoir reach the bubble pressure caused by the exploitation, as the pressure decreases the lighest componen in the crude oil begins to be liberated, this gas actually becomes free gas,there is when exists free gas in a time before the exploitation's, on other hand the free gas exists just when the reservoir pressure is less than the bubble pressure and this is the initial state, there are free gas in the inicial gas cap.
thanks =)
the difference between liberated and free gas is that ..during liberation flash liberation process takes place and the gas molecules arising out of the process do not have mobility abd jhinder the flow of oil by occypying pore spaces.
Free gas on the other hand is that which has significant mobility i.e. it is free to move
