    well perforations ??

I know I've been a headache since i joined the forum here ..
bs please dont hate me ! am really glad that i finally found people to help me !! and you guyz are great wallah !

    So,
there is a well that I have to suggest some perforations locations for ..
I already checked the resistivity .. and there's a layer that has quite high resisitivity,, which indicates a good potential , However this high potential layer is in an area thats far away from
my well and there's a sealing fault that seperates both areas ( the area where my well is (graben) , and the other high potential area (main) ) ..
so, the resistivity of the other nearby wells in the graben are showing low resistivity in all the layers !
so, should i suggest not to perforate ?? or what should i check also to prove my suggestions ??
I cant use the lorenz plot coz i dont have enough data ..

    please answer with explanations ..
coz am still a student (A)

i think you need to check the water saturation and porosity of this layer
if it is thick enough just produce it if it already confirmed oil

for sure high resistivity is means oil and also good reservoir,,perm,,
make sure this is deep resistivity so it is formation resistivity not the filtrate

some times the tight zoens shows high resistivity so you need to check the density neuron too
i believe the petrophysist already familiar with formation then it is easier to know the potential
from other dolomitic formation or so

    hope it helps

i didnt get how can we determine the potential from the dolomitic formation ?

High restivity from resisstivity log is not enough to justify or comfim your HC. Your neutron-density log Must compliment your resistivity. Otherwise if the formation is a tight one , no matter how high the resistivity, is, there would still be no flow. always relate your resistivity with your Neutron-Density logs. Very important.
