Hey everybody, this is my first post on this forum I usually just look around to see if my question has been answered already to save everyone's time and let me say you guys great and super knowledgeable.

I am currently working on my senior design project at Rutgers University and I am trying to figure out how to model a unit procedure. Dry, shredded corn stover is feed along a unit process by an extruder screw; water is pumped in at the exit and flows counter current to the stover. This counter current flow of water through the corn stover produces a temperature gradient that allows the extraction of liquid hemicellulose at the beginning of the unit. I would like to do this in any of the Chemical Engineering Simulation Programs preferably Chemcad or Aspen.

If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

The process is similar to the first stage of the unit procedure in this publication Kiran . Kadam et.l Environmental Progress & Sustainable Energy "Continuous Biomass Fractionation Process For Producing Ethanol and Low-Molecular-weight Lignin" vol. 28 no.1
If you do not have access to it I have uploaded it to here
