If I remember correctly, the first modern electrical windmills where installed in Holland, somewhere beginning of 90's. After only couple of years (probably by the time the batteries died on them), they calculated that cost of running them is too high, so they dismantled all of them. I like your text and could not agree more. The only green thing about them is the color of the money they make, through corrupt governments around the world.
