    Cool measurement

    simply , what is the difference between on-line , in-line and in situ measurement ?

  3. Dear Friend;

    As i know it is referred to Instrument location; by means of:

    Field (on-line) => Process wetted via isolation valve
    Field (in-line) => Mounted in the process line
    Field (off-line) => Not process wetted
    Field (equip.) => Equipment mounted
    In situ measurement => Measurement made in place in the field without collecting a sample for laboratory analysis

    I hope above mentioned would be suitable for you.

    Process wetted refer to process wetted part, by means of a part of instrument which have contact process flouid.

    thank you again but still some thing make me confused a little bit :
    both in-line and on-line are process wet(am i right ) so what is the difference between them .

  9. On-Line such as Pressure Gauge (PG) which isolated from process by manifold and
    In-Line such as Control Valve anf Orifice Plate which have direct contact with process flouid.
