  1. need help in fire extinguisher distribution across plant facility

    Hello Everyone,

    I need some help to install the fire extinguisher cylinders ( foam, CO2 and dry powder) across a 1200 MTPD urea manufacturing facility. Can any onr of you plz tell me which guidelines/standard to be followed ?

    potential sources of fire at the facility are methane, hydrogen, furnace oil, lube oil, electric sources, carpentry workshop etc

    I know that extinguishers are installed according to expected grade of release of flammabe material and extinguisher rating but i need some guidelines/ standard to follow

    also fixed suppressiopn system are beyong the scope of this study

  3. Bro, use NFPA 10 as guide for selection, sizing and spacing/location requirements. You can browse the standard in the NFPA website for free but you cannot print it. I recall someone shared NFPA 10 in this forum. Use "search".
