As per my experience DEA is better choice to remove CO2, I have seen use of DEA to reduce CO2 conc. from 12 mol% down to 2 mol%. DEA concentration used is in the range of approx 35 wt%.

Generic MDEA can be used, but for MDEA proprietary MDEA is preferable.
