Petrel Professional Certification (anyboday tried it??)

I always have a problem with a double post.
I don't want to differentiate the Petrel or Studio certification from other certifications. I take it just like others (CISCO., PMP,.......). A certification can be a plus, It can be a good start point; You will master the software/job with practice and also the certification is not a requirement; like you said it is just a paper. I don't expect a freshman with a certification and 0-1 year experience to get a higher pay than somebody with no certificate with 3 years of experience. I just have a feeling that it can be worthy to get a certification. Talking about that certification itself, it is not an easy task; it will requires many hours of mouse clicking...

If you have the time and money, yes, go for the certificate.

That is how Microsoft squeeze the blood from the rock.

Actually this certification is no longer available today. Schlumberger contract with PetroMetric examination center had been ended* and SLB didn't renew it and keep the issue on hold.
