How to avoid AspenTech or other to check your PC

I am concerned about the possibility of my PC being scanned by AspenOne or other companies to look for licenses, any idea how to avoid it?, are host files used for that?, are fire wall useful for that purpose?

One needs to apply filter in control panel. From Control Panel in Windows Firewall in exceptions tab you can restrict external access.
Now what to block we all need to decide. Others pl identify what is really monitoring. May be in task manager we can see what processes are on....

gtaa, i agree with you but the problem is that these companies charge toooo much money for these software.
