Thread: Using Condensate LPG data into Mbal

  1. Question Using Condensate LPG data into Mbal

I need to do a quick mbal on a gas condensate field.
Unfortunately I have only sales volumes available (gas , condensate and LPG)
Normally I should use raw gas data and condensate.

As I know condensate means C5+ fractions that is separated naturally in surface conditions.
LPG is C3,C4 fraction and you need a plant in order to separate this.
Also there is a quantity of gas that is lost during separation process.

How can I go back to original raw gas data taking into account sales data I have?

You would need as a minimum some PVT analyses done on the original raw gas stream.
It is strange that you dont have LPG and condensate rates/volumes available...... I think if you dig a bit you should find this data, it must be tracked for revenue purposes somewhere but perhaps is not easily available in your production database

Note that the condensate and LPG yields will likely change over time, so even if you find some PVT report unless you fit it to an EOS you will not be able to accurately describe LPG/Condensate yields over time from it alone - a lot depends upon the sorts of accuracy you need
