    Hello sir,

I wanted to know what are the main topics that must be covered when this project is taken.

  5. Dear friend,

pumping heavy oil in long distance (etc 250 Km ) need pipeline 18'' and pumping pressure around 90 bars in order to have around 10 bars at the end point.

Most of the times pumps are screwed pumps in series to reach 90-100 bars.
There are a lot of sectionalizing valves along side from startiing point till the end, and a lot of measuring points. There is also computer online analysis for leakage check.

    Hope i help you

thank you sir.. can you also please throw some light on external corrosion monitoring

    Thank you so much sir..

Can you please throw some light on external corrosion monitoring techniques in cross country pipelines and how its is linked to ECDA.. If you can help me in this iam very very thankful to you sir.........

Unfortunatelly I dont know anything about corrosion minitoring in crude oil pipelines. I have some expirience in natural gas pipelines where there is a cathothic protection with dc power that is monitored remotely with testing points in every section.
When current increases they can cut the sections and find by local measurements the leakage to the ground.

Sorry that i cant give any more help.
