Hi guys, do you know what is the reference normative for pressure vessel positioning tollerances?
Verticality, anchor bolts position,....
Thanks a lot

Have no one of you experience in assembly?
I need to know the references for vertical vessel erection in site.
Thanks

As a common, vertical deviation tolerance is limited to 1mm/meter height but no more than 25mm at total height of vessel.
Usually it's mentioned on company standard.
Sorry double post.
Hi, the values you posted are used in common practice. I would know if there are international standard for this work area, ad well as the 31.3 forma piping erection.
Thanks

.Hi, You will find some requirements of dimensional tolerances for manufacture of pressure vessels at ASME Code
There are also standard practices as PIP whit additional requirements
Some times customer or the EPC has his owns.

Not sure for piping erection.
I just refer to ASTM A6 for verticality/waviness tolerance when prepare erection procedure for site erected storage tank.

Hi, I have found ASTM A6 but my version is "Standard Speciï¬cation for General Requirements for Rolled Structural Steel Bars, Plates, Shapes, and Sheet Piling".
Do you have different reference? Can you share it?
Thanks

Use verticality and waviness tolerance table in that standard.

Hi, I think that A6 reference talks about tollerances for manufacturer or for purchaser for structural steel. So I don't think that these tablea can be used for erection tollerances of vessels, but I would like to konw yours opinion.
Thanks a lot

Hi, did you find a specific phrases which mention that the standard are used for manufacturer and or purchaser only?
IMHO since no phrases mentioned, we still can use the standard.
I used that standard for erection of site erected storage tank, and site erected tanks is different with pressure vessel.

in CODAP French code, you can find high dimensional tolerance for horizontal and vertical pressure vessel.
Tolerance available on following link.
