ASPEN + Windows 7 Compatibility Problem

The problem is that i am far above the requirements and i have all these programs installed. So can't understand the reason why. When the sql server starts installing, says that can't get installed cause is not compatible with this version of windows. Then says that i must install it later and the installation process goes on. But during aspen plus installation, a program (i think it's called: aspen remote something???) closes and then when it continues to hysys installation, says that the installer is being used (??) and then the hysys installation stops...

@Kakademot: is your copy of aspen original?

I don't have original. I need only Aspen Plus, Properties and Plus Dynamic.
If you install HYSYS or something different, maybe some files are corrupted.

Try "Run as Administrator".

I need all those you mention plus hysys. And my version is not download by this site... what about all the others??

Ok I try install HYSYS and other to check for install error. If I will have error I tell you...

This is my first post here and I hope that can be helpful. I tried to install Aspen Engineering Suite 2006.5 in windows 7 and I couldn't install it correctely at my first try. To install it on windows 7 you need to run the instalation on your REAL ADMINISTRATOR account. You need first to activate that hidden account, look here:

Thank you alentejano. Though I have never had problems installing aspen v7 I will take your suggestion into account if I run into some.

Thanx for that. I will try it, although the error messages have to do with compatibility problems.

As I said; although the total installation had failed, eventually the ASPEN Plus was installed and is working, but [U]NOT[/U] the HYSYS and maybe other programs that I didn't try to install. I don't think also that the problem lies on the system requirements. I would also like to ask you this: Did you have any compatibility errors at the start of your installation?

The problem i got in my first instalation try was at the start, concretely with license recognising by the aspen setup. The license was correcly generated but the setup didn't acess to the aspen licensed programs.

Well, I didn't have any license recognition problem. My problem has to do only with compatibility. Which Windows 7 Edition do you have installed? Mine is Windows 7 64bit Professional.

try to install an other session xp sp2/3 on your c driver this is the best solution..
