I have a basic doubt for 1.25 Cr - 0.5 Mo.At high temperature application, many specs ask to use SA-387 Gr 11 CL1 in stead of CL 2.
Why? i.e., what property does CL 1 have better than CL 2 at higher temperature, so that CL 1 is preferred over CL 2
CL2 has bigger tensile strength so is more expensive so if don't need don't spend money
CL2 has more control on % of composition so you need to have a more controlled welding process if u want to keep mec prop.
