Grounding System in PowerStations.
Hi guys,
I need help in the grounding system for PowerStations. We have a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Project with 2-250 MVA Gas Turbine and 1-250 MVA Steam Turbine. I have a few questions.
1. How do I design the grounding grid for the PowerStation?
2. How to compute for the max fault current and fault clearing time for the Grounding design?
3. Shall I consider the schedule of loads of the plant?
4. Is the grid for LV/MV and EHV systems separate?
I couldn't find a book which discussed the grounding systems for powerstations. Thanks for the help.
Re: Grounding System in PowerStations.
The best and most complete guide for any earthing system is the IEEE 80-2000
Re: Grounding System in PowerStations.
The Ground Bus Should be common to all the Levels of Voltage except Instrument Earthing (Clean Earthing), Refer to IEEE 80, this is a good standard for Grounding

see IEEE 837 Grounding substation
use ETAP software
