i need your help to install oracle 9204 on RHEL 3u4 for the geoframe
1) during installation of RHEL i create user with username: dba.
2) when started to install oracle from this user i got error that i can't write to this user.
3) i created group with user : oracle passwd: oracle
4) start the installer again now it's ok no problems till i reach to the configuration tool comes up, i know we should run the ----- first so i ignore it.
5) then i extracted the ----- and put in in tmp directory, and run it ok
6) but i can't go to configuration again to create data base
7) also when i run the geoframe install tool , it go ok with me till the step that i need to create data base inside oracle i got the following errors
can't find ora9i
note: i installed gf with user dba because if i run it as user oracle i can't mount the cd's
becuse dba only can mount cd's, i don't know why?
if you have solution for this tell me with some details
