Hi,
The topic above has been always in my mind and after several attempts both in practical/operations and planning phase, I think it is possible.
Few cases are not recommended fast drill but in general, all operators are looking for a best performance.

Ive just got a SPE paper posting "The Best Driller in the Gulf of Mexico" by Romain Griffon and Jacob Gauthier, IADC/SPE 151482

Sometimes, you have to be courageous and challenge the present. Normally, pump fast you can drill faster. Personally, I put this in practice in several wells and it is true. However, it is not easy to convince people to do this. Although drilling managers and drlg superintendents are challenge for best performance, most of them don’t want to risk and it doesn’t matter if it is Exploration or Development/production.

Is it possible to drill fast?
How can we systematically approach the topic in our planing and operation?
