Hello,
I'm trying to repeat hand calculations provided in Pipesim x2007 course manual.
I have a couple of questions. First, the frictional pressure term has wrong physical dimension.
As stated in manual,
[dp/dL] = [f*rho*v^2/(2*g*d)] = M/L^3 * (L/T)^2 / (L/T^2 * L) = M/L^3
As stated in 2nd Newton's law, p = F/S = m*a/S, so
[dp/dL] = M * L/T^2 /L^2 = M/(T^2*L).
Second question, I got result that differ on 3 orders of magnitude from answers printed
in course manual. These numbers marked with red color in my spreadsheet. Could you please
point out what's going wrong in my calculations?

Ah, I see now that parameter L should be 20025 ft rather then 20.025 ft.
