  • [ Help ] How to Determine Pressure Drop in PipeSim

    Assalamualaikum.Wr.Wb

    Hai every body,.
for the first time, may i introduce my self, i'm dzaky . i'm a collage student in one of university in Indonesia. Now, i still doing my final assignment about "analysis Pressure drop in one filed with multiphase correlation".

before i ask something here, i'm sorry if i ask about my problem on in-correct thread here...

actually i plan to determine the pressure drop of several well in one oil field, the pressure drop which i want to determine about 2 point , it's from well head to storage station, actually the field is multiphase flow,

I plan to determine it with PipeSim with horizontal multiphase correlation such as Dukler I/II correlation, beggs and Brill Correlation, or Hagedorn and Brown Correlation. I plan to determine it in PipeSim.

Can i determine it in pipeSim?? actually i still confuse to operate the software, have any one ever determine the pressure drop between 2 point with PipeSim?? ( i hope someone can share his/her experience in this problem...)

i still confuse , what should i do in operate the software, what should i do first? should i build the model with well/pipeline model option or i should make it with network model...?? and what option should i take in operations toolbar : the pressure/temperature profile? or other option??

hope some one here can help me about my problem....

and thanks a lot for time and attention every one here who willing help me here... hope Allah will bless your kindness .

    Wassalam

After that you need to define each element (source, pipeline), you can do that by double clicking on the item you want. Then go to setup/flow correlations and select the correlation you want. After defining all the parameters go to Operations and click on Pressure/Temperature profile, click on Pressure vs.total distance and define the amount of liquid you the well head pressure (on a source) and click run model.

If you want i can make a model and send it to you to see...

    Best regards

Ok. i will try to operate it base your tutor there..

i wish i will receive the sample network model from your Mr. Ivan.
hope you willing send it to my email here dzaky_petrol@yahoo.com

I'm grateful for your kindness Mr.Ivan
