Pressure buildup refers to rise in pressure in excess of that expected at normal system operating condition. If it continues unchecked, the system design pressure could be reached. And if the design (or maximum allowable working) pressure is exceeded, it can lead to failure(rupture) of equipment, line rupture.

Normally industrial processes are designed to guard against pressure buildup by placing what we call system safeguards (protection) against pressure buildup. These safeguards provide at least 2 layers of protection to the system.

Interpretation of pressure buildup done is by means of installed pressure guages on the equipment, (or on the line).

I hope this is clear enough. Let me know if you need further explanation.

      thanks dear
Actually i am not reservoir engineer
i want to plot P/Z of a well
      But i cann;t calculate Z
      How can i do it?
It needs psuedo critical pressure and pseudo critical temperatures?

      Hey dear,

Can you tell us with which compostion of fluid you are dealing for this exercise.
Because Critical pressure and critical temperature varies from compostion to composition.
But if i am not wrong you must be having plenty of points against which you want to calculate P/Z.
The easiest way is to calculate through PVTsim which provides Z in number of points within seconds.
      May be helpfull for you.

      Thanx
      Anu
