    Re: API Standard 625

hello once again, i am working on my final year design project for chemical and process engineering and i have to design the storage tank for storage of ethylene. i decided to use api 625 since it is for refrigerated liquified gas storage. however, my ethylene is at 59kPa operating pressure (as determined in previous calculations) and i am seeing in 1.2.3 on page 1-1 that the max design pressure is 50 kPa. do you all have any advice as to what I can do?

also is api 625 even the best choice in standard for an ethylene tank?

Thank you for all help. This is urgent.

    See API 620 Appendix Q

    Appendix Q
Low-pressure Storage Tanks for Liquefied Hydrocarbon Gases
    Q.1 Scope
    Q.1.1 General
The provisions in this appendix form a guide for the materials, design, and fabrication of tanks to be used for the
storage of liquefied ethane, ethylene, and methane.

thank you for replying. I am seeing that api 620 is @ low pressure. My tank's operating P is 59kPa and I know that I will have to go 10% higher for working design pressure. This is why I was asking the question earlier. Can i still use the api 620?
