FINAL YEAR PROJECT
My Final Year Project is based on Coal bed Methane entitled “Production Practices for Coal bed Methane” (Like Drilling, Completion, Stimulation, Enhance CBM and production methods for CBM). Due to increasing demand of methane gas, we decided to work on “Thar Coal” (Pakistan) that is one of the largest lignite coal deposits of the world having over 175 billion tones of coal reserves. This coalfield is expected to contain commercially exploitable reserves of Methane gas (CBM) which can be used as clean fuel.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Four Weeks internship in PAKISTAN PETROLEUM LTD (Sui gas field)
Worked in the following areas:
• Sui Field Gas Compression Station.
• Sui gas Purification Plant
• Production Department.

• Three day field visit to “Pakistan petroleum limited (Kandkot) 5th Jun, 2009.
• One day visit to “Water Portable Rig” at University side takatoo campus.
• One day visit to “Geological Survey of Pakistan”.
