You might have selected Rigorous Tubecount. Un-tick it to specify number of tubes manually. It's not recomended by the way. Because you may specify larger number of tubes for a particular shell, which, which may not be possible practically. My suggestion is tube layout option for rating. Because you can specify an actual bundle layout available with you.

Dear friends,
its quite difficuilt to use htri without data, or calcualations.
we can use chemcad to generate approx. data(nearby accurate)
then use it for calulations in HTRI
IT WILL REDUCE NO OF ERROR MESSAGES

The new version of HTRI (6) has c'r'a'c'k's only for Xace, for the other modules we need to wait. I would like if somebody could post the new futeres included in the new version. Thanks to all for sharing their knowledge.

you can use a SIMSCI PRO II simulation too for generate properties using the programs interface, this is a very practical mode of generate properties on refinery process streams. HTRI uses the PRO II simulation like a case study and completes the property grid.
