pvtsim 18

hello all, i want to thank you for the sharing and support on pvtsim18. i downloaded the software but it didn't come with a license file. i've followed d comments in dis forum so far but still can't make it run. is dere somtin i have to do with the lmgrd.exe file to make it work? putting d license file in the flexlm directory and starting d program gives a "daemon" error. is d license file correct?

pls som1 help with a step by step procedure.

please i need help installing the pvtsim 18 license... i've tried all but it says: error: -13 contact the flexlm documentation blah blah blah!!! please please please! can anyone put me through right from the scratch???

hi, first of all the software works on vista ultimate, just follow Installation Guide PVTsim.pdf to install it (use the .lic file), it will work, but it seems that this software handle only a presumed fluid and it is independent of working fluid. unfortunaltly this results pvtsim18 to be useless. if any body has the peoper .lic file please update, special thanks to black sea and regi max

dear mr.elhagar, this is the 2nd message i sent you, please guide me! the pvtsim16 and pvtsim18 have problems. in pvtsim 16 the interfaces and any wax module dont work. in pvtsim 18 works only for 1 fluid, and can not be changed even with selecting new fluid....
black sea and regi max told me that only you could help me.

pls i need serious hlp...i am using windows vista home premium, i have installed the ipm 6.4 and pvtsim 18...but i cant figure out the license thingy, the software keep screaming they cant locate the license or callmd daemon failed trying to locate the license server...please cann anyone help me with proper directions...i will really appreciate..my email is maynegee@yahoo.com..thanks..i even tried installing pvtsim16 but same thing.pleaseeee!! thanks. again

dear petroexperts! after downloading the software you'll need to have lic file for pvtsim18 or 16, you must follow the install instruction as mention is previous posts, just read the posts and treads and you will find out how to install it.
you must consider the followings:
1- install the software
2- locate, edit and copy *.lic file to calsep folder (for editing the lic file just read previous posts no difference between pvtsim 16 or 18)
3- double click to calsep lic server which will be appear on your desktop, and choose flexm and advanced and then address to the *.lic file
4- goto calsep folder installed in \programsfiles\calsep , then run lic manager, now follow steps in posts #21 to 24
i have done all steps and it works.
but you can not do any modeling with these softwares, if you want to do sims. try pvtsim 13

here is the link for pvtsim13, after instalation just replace the .exe file in ----- folder with .exe file in installed folder. and enjoy!
